Do you want to be a hero? An Xbox 360 gamer who goes by the gamertag: TXPaladin (some of you may know him) is searching for Heroes. His wife, Edith, is taking part in a walk for the Breast Cancer 3-Day. Its a 60 mile walk that takes place on November 7-9 in Dallas/Fort Worth.

TXPaladin & Edith need your help in raising $2200 in donations to actually walk. They’re looking for only 360 Xbox Live members, each willing to donate at least $6.12 and help us raise a total of $2203.20. Edith has set a personal goal to raise $5,000.

360 Rant Rave has received word from EA that the website for the upcoming title, The Godfather II, has gone live.

EA has done a lot of work with the site in order to ensure users have not only a reason to visit, but consistent content updates to give them a reason to return. They’ve also introduced a feature entitled ‘The Inner Circle.’ Signing up for this will grant a user access to exclusive assets, developer diaries, and a few other pages to make it worth your while. Sign up soon, so you can be in the loop on anything Godfather II related, and even enter to win EA’s latest giveaways.

The highly anticipated release of Madden NFL 09 is only one week away! This year’s installment of the award winning Madden NFL franchise will be in stores nationwide on August 12, 2008. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the franchise, EA SPORTS sits down with legendary broadcast analyst and former NFL head coach John Madden to discuss the number one selling football video game in history - his namesake - Madden NFL Football.

In this video interview, Madden discusses his involvement with the game and his vision for the franchise. Madden has always insisted the franchise be an authentic representation of professional football. In 1988, consistent with his vision, John Madden Football debuted as the first-ever football video game to offer 11-on-11 action.

“I’ve been in the development of this game since day one,” says Madden, the forefather of the franchise. “One of my goals was to make the videogame look like television.”

360 Rant Rave is the new kid on the block. The site launched in August of 2007 to provide coverage of PAX ‘07, but things didn’t really get rolling until January ‘08, and again in February when our forums went online. Things are off to a great start, but now it’s time to concentrate on helping 360 Rant Rave grow. To that end, it’s time for our first contest!

On Tuesday, February 19th, The Club will arrive.  To mark the game’s launch, Bizarre Creations is having a launch competition. 

Two winners will be selected and each will receive signed copies of Bizarre’s recent back titles (PGR4, The Club, and Geometry Wars Galaxies at a minimum), plus all sorts of bits and bobs they’re digging up (posters, t-shirts, stickers, etc.)  This is Bizarre’s biggest prize giveaway yet, and they’re excited about it.

EA Sports GamerNet announced today the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 Buick Enclave GamerNet contest, which will kick off today at 7:00PM PST. 

The winner will receive a brand new Buick Enclave, Model CXL.  Three runners up will receive an Xbox 360 VIP Accessories Kit, including: an Xbox 360 Vision Camera, an Xbox 360 wirless controller and wireless adapter, an Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel and three EA Sports video games for the Xbox 360 console.  All winners will also receive a year’s subscription to GOlf Digest.  

To enter, you must to to the ‘EA Sports GamerNet’ option within the Xbox 360 version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 between today, January 24th and February 6, 2008. 

There, you will be able to view the day’s two GamerNet challenges under the ‘Contest Channel’ manu.  You earn points by meeting or beating the stated ‘win conditions’ for each clip. 

Double points will be awarded to the first person to meet or beat each challenge, so play early!

COntest winners will be notified via email on or around February 11th, 2008.  A list of winners will be available at www.tigerwoods08.com once all winners are determined and verified.
