Microsoft Cancels 1 Vs. 100
The mob loses! Despite being downloaded over three million times and collecting over 114,000 players all at once (and setting a Guinness World Record in the process), 1 Vs. 100 will not be returning to the Xbox 360 for a third season. Microsoft Game Studios’ GM Dave McCarthy stated that “When we started on this journey, we knew we were creating an entirely new genre of entertainment that would be a continually evolving concept…We’re very proud of the ‘1 vs 100′ team and their accomplishments, and are excited to apply what we’ve learned to future programming.”
Sure, the Xbox LIVE game died down a little in Season 2, but could there be more to the demise of the interactive console game show? Kotaku has claimed via close sources that management was one of the downfalls of 1 Vs. 100. Too many people pulled the game and its resources into different directions, thus spelling the end of the fun new take on console multiplayer gaming.
Another likely culprit behind the murder of 1 Vs. 100 is television. Did the Xbox 360 game become too popular for TV to ignore? With another hand dipping into the pot, it’s likely that Microsoft pulled the plug to avoid having to finance the licensed game.
Sadly, we may never know the truth behind the removal of the XBL game show. Phone-in guests were neat, winning MS points or XBLA games was great, Achievements were easy, and Cashman was even pretty humorous. Though Jolly and I each got into the Mob but once, we had great fun joining up in Party Chat and trying to collectively answer with the correct responses.
Gone before its time, I think; we won’t even get to use all those tickets we acquired! We’ll miss you, 1 Vs. 100. One last dance emote for old times’ sake. Cashman, play us off…

Introduction
Dragon Age has been called the ‘spiritual successor’ to Baldur’s Gate 2, the old Forgotten Realms PC RPG from the 90′s. BG2 was one of the games that launched BioWare to success. Can Dragon Age live up to this fantastic claim or will it fail at establishing a new franchise?
